Switch up date night next week. Casbah's Pasta Fest is the perfect excuse to head out early in the week. From Monday through next Thursday, you can sample chef Allan Peet's newest pasta creations. The list of 10 pastas showcase spring flavors and intriguing combinations. I would be hard-pressed to choose between dishes such as potato gnocchi with duck confit, ramps, spring garlic, rapini, dried figs and red pepper flakes ($12) and black pepper pappardelle with forest mushrooms, tomatoes, cipollini onions and arugula pesto ($8). Sharing is encouraged, and suggested wine pairings will be provided. For a complete list of pastas, visit www.bigburrito.com/casbah. For reservations, call 412-661-5656.
