This is her second consecutive year on the PG West Fabulous Five. Ambrose was outstanding again this season, averaging 14.3 points and 7 rebounds and 4 assists a game, despite being the focal point of opposing defenses. As a sophomore, she averaged 14 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists per game. This also marks the third consecutive season Ambrose has been named to her all-section team. She was a key reason why the Crusaders won the Section 3-AA title.
KIKI BROWN
Ambridge
Guard, 5-8, Senior
She has verbally committed to California University of Pennsylvania after an outstanding season during which she averaged 26 points per game, second-best in the WPIAL. Brown scored 41 points in a game against Center and 40 in another contest against Hollidaysburg. Brown, who also averaged four assists and five rebounds a game, was named to the second team on the Associated Press Class AAA All-State squad. She was the leading vote-getter in Section 2-AAA.
DEVIN McGRATH
OLSH
Guard, 5-9, Junior
An outstanding athlete who also plays volleyball, McGrath had an excellent season before being sidelined with an undisclosed illness right before the WPIAL playoffs. She averaged 17.1 points and six rebounds a game. McGrath was the leading vote-getter in Section 6-AA and was selected to the second team on the Associated Press Class AA All-State squad. McGrath and teammate Micki Cherchiaro led the Chargers to the Section 6-AA title and a 26-3 overall record.
ALYSE SCARSELLA
Monaca
Forward, 5-11, Senior
She averaged 16.4 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists and was the leading vote- getter in Section 1-A this season. A three-year starter, she is receiving attention from Division II and III colleges. A force close to the basket, Scarsella could also step outside and play guard if needed and helped the Indians to a third-place finish in the section. "She played pretty much all over the place for us," Monaca coach Tim Moore said. "She is going to be tough to replace next season."
CARLY VENDEMIA
Beaver Area
Forward, 6-1, Junior
She hasn't started looking at colleges yet, but Vendemia would like to play at the NCAA Division I level and has received feelers from colleges at that level. Vendemia averaged 16.7 points and 12.9 rebounds a game this past season after averaging 14 points as a sophomore in helping the Bobcats to a section title. She was second in the voting in Section 6-AA behind Devin McGrath and paced the Bobcats to a 16-8 record and a share of the runner-up spot in the section with Sto-Rox.
