Post-Gazette political editor James O' Toole reports that Barack Obama has secured the endorsement of two of the most illustrious Steelers of all time:

Sen. Barack Obama emerged from Soldiers and Sailors with Franco Harris and Jerome Bettis and a color-challenged version of the Terrible Towel.

Mr. Obama waved overhead a blue towel emblazoned "Here We Go America; Here We Go."

Cheering crowds that lined O'Hara Street waved back with their own copies of the towels that had been distributed by campaign aides. Mr. Obama held a football but didn't attempt to throw it, thus avoiding the risk an embarrassing YouTube video. Then the Bus got on the bus along with the candidate and Mr. Harris.

Myron Cope hadn't taken a public stand of the Democratic race before his recent death, but we wonder what he would have thought of that Indianapolis Colts blue. Of course, Indiana hosts one of the first post-Pennsylvania primaries so maybe the campaign can use them down the road.
