L.A. Times apologizes to Combs; Presley's face needs redo; Robin Williams' wife files for divorce
Friday, March 28, 2008
Priscilla Presley with her dancing partner Louis Van Amstel during the filming of "Dancing with the Stars" earlier this month.

Ooops, their bad!

The Los Angeles Times has issued an apology for the story it ran last week linking Sean "Diddy" Combs to the 1994 shooting of the of late rapper Tupac Shakur.

In a published statement, reporter Chuck Philips said he relied on what he thought were FBI documents, but it turns out that the papers were apparently forged by some troubled 31-year-old wannabe hip hopper who's in prison for fraud.

The Smoking Gun Web site looked a little deeper at the supposed FBI documents and discovered the hoax.

TSG believes the papers were forged by James Sabatino, who was identified in the Times article as a promoter. TSG calls him a delusional con man, who is in federal prison for fraud.

Diddy and James Rosemond, who the LA Times article also said was involved in Tupac's assault, immediately issued denials last week.

Both were madder than hornets, too. We smell a lawsuit.

Bebe Neuwirth -- looking absolutely gorgeous, according to our source -- was in the house at Wednesday night's Point Park University Conservatory Theatre Company performance of "Assassins" at the Pittsburgh Playhouse.

Turns out she's friends with Jeff Saver, the show's musical director and a Point Park faculty member.

Beautiful Bebe, who's in town this weekend to sing with the Pittsburgh Symphony Pops, stuck around to talk to the cast, and a number of conservatory students were able to sit in at her rehearsal yesterday with the PSO.

We love it! No diva attitude whatsoever. You go, Bebe!

Perhaps Priscilla Presley can find out what Miss Neuwirth is using to keep her looking so great because what Priscilla did sure didn't work.

We're still racking our brains over why a grown woman with money and resources would go to somebody's house and let an unlicensed doctor inject stuff into her face?

But she wasn't the only one. According to TMZ, Shawn King, wife of Larry King, and Diane Richie, who was married to Lionel at the time, also put their faces into the hands of Dr. Daniel Serrano, who's from Argentina and doesn't have a license to practice in this country. He just got out of jail last week, but is now in a detention center and may be deported.

Seems Dr. Daniel was injecting the kind of silicone used grease up auto parts into the ladies' faces and anybody who's watched "Dancing With the Stars" can see how jacked up Priscilla's face is as a result.

Word is she's going to have all that corrected by a doctor who knows what he's doing.

Robin Williams' wife of 19 years, Marsha Garves Williams, has filed for divorce, citing that break-up favorite "irreconcilable differences."

The two met when Marsha was a nanny for Robin's children with his first wife.

Is Britney Spears' pregnant little sis, Jamie Lynn, engaged? You know we don't know but apparently Miss Sweet 16 is sporting a ring on the appropriate finger from her 18-year-old boyfriend and baby daddy, Casey Aldridge, reports People.

A source told the mag that JL has been flashing her rock all over Louisiana and Mississippi.

Here's a casting tidbit.

James Cromwell and Ellyn Burstyn, will play George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush in the new Oliver Stone flick on our current prez, George W. Bush, reports Daily Variety.

Josh Brolin, last seen in the Oscar-winner "No Country for Old Men," is set to play George W. and Elizabeth Banks takes on the role of first lady Laura.

Filming is set to start at the end of April in Shreveport, La.

Let's just give you one more casting item. Our homegirl Julie Benz, whom we interviewed for her film "Rambo," is in "Saw V," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

You know girlfriend has a regular role on Showtime's "Dexter" but she's been doing movies while on hiatus from the show.
