A Washington County man was killed last night when he apparently lost consciousness while driving on State Road 88 in Monongahela and his car struck a parked truck and a second vehicle.

The Washington County Coroner's office said David Rotta, 60, was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:55 p.m.

According Monongahela police, one of the three passengers in the southbound car gained control of the speeding vehicle on Main Street in Monongahela after Mr. Rotta "became unresponsive."

A female passenger in the vehicle and another female in the second vehicle were flown by helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital.
