Obama to make Friday visits to Oakland, Hempfield

Sen. Barack Obama will make campaign stops Friday at the Soldiers and Sailors Military Museum and Memorial Hall in Oakland and at Hempfield Area High School in Westmoreland County.

The Democratic senator, as part of his "Road to Change" Bus Tour, will hold a community event at 11 a.m. at Soldiers and Sailors Hall. Doors will open at 9 a.m. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets will be required. They will be available at the Obama for America Pittsburgh Headquarters, 208 North Highland Ave., from noon to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

Sen. Obama then will hold a town hall meeting at Hempfield Area High School, 4345 Route 136, near Greensburg. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the program starts at 5:30. The free event requires tickets that can be picked up at the Obama for America Greensburg Office, 132 S. Penn. Ave. Tickets will be available from 1 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

Those who attend are asked not to bring bags and to limit personal belongings.
