A firefighter was injured last night while battling a two-alarm blaze in Elizabeth Township.
Firefighters responded at around 9:20 p.m. to an unoccupied residential structure in the 5700 block of Smithfield Street, according to emergency dispatchers.
The blaze was under control by about 10:10 p.m.
The firefighter, who was not immediately identified, suffered a leg injury and was being evaluated at the scene late last night, according to authorities.
Allegheny County fire marshals were called to the scene to investigate the cause of the blaze.
