Local businesswomen among 'Best 50' in Pa.

Eleven women from the Pittsburgh region are among Pennsylvania's Best 50 Women in Business. Gov. Ed Rendell yesterday announced the annual list of award winners who will be honored in May at several events in Harrisburg.

The regional winners are in Allegheny County: Audrey Brourman, founder, owner and president, A.L. Brourman Associates; Laura Ellsworth, partner-in-charge, Jones Day's Pittsburgh office; Diane Holder, executive vice president, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center; Linda Ruckert, owner, Linda's Imprinted Products; Sharon Scheidemantle, broker of record, Achieve Realty; Sandy Simon, owner, Kiln-in-Time Studios.

Butler County: Victoria Hinterberger, chief executive, Butler County Radio Network; Ann Morrison, senior vice president, Citizens Bank of Pennsylvania; Washington County: Sherri Hewitt-Laird, president and chief executive, The Caring Mission.

Westmoreland County: Carol Boerio Croft, owner, Cozy Inn Pet Resort; Candy Valentino, founder and owner, Platinum Salon and Spa.
