Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pittsburgh and West Virginia University are joining forces to develop clean and efficient technologies for the use of fossil fuels.
The consortium, called CWP Inc., will receive up to $26 million over the next two years through a subcontract with RDS Inc., an on-site contractor at the National Energy Technology Laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy.
Carnegie Mellon chemical engineering professor Andrew Gellman has been named research director for the consortium.
