An Erie County man was killed by a car that struck him yesterday as he walked along the road in Armstrong County.

Joshua Foster, 20, of Wattsburg, was struck at about 9:30 p.m. while walking along the berm of Route 268 in Hovey, Armstrong County, state police said.

Two cars had been traveling south on Rt. 286 when the second vehicle, driven by Martha Flo McKinny, 66, of Karns City, Butler County, passed the vehicle ahead of her.

As Ms. McKinny did so, her car struck Mr. Foster.

Neither Ms. McKinny nor the other driver, Kayla N. Radaker, 25, of Rimersburg, was injured.

Ms. Radaker's car sustained minor damage, police said.
