Rising water caused the closing of one outbound lane of the 10th Street Bypass yesterday, but a full closure was not expected, the Pennsylvania Department of Transporation said.
The Ohio River was expected to crest at 22.8 feet last evening, just above the 22-foot level at which the bypass floods. The National Weather Service said it expected the river level to fall enough by tonight to clear the Monongahela Wharf of floodwaters.
The wharf is unlikely to reopen before Monday.
