Penn State starting outside linebacker Tyrell Sales is facing a preliminary hearing tomorrow after being involved in an incident at a Station Square nightspot.

Sales, 22, from Butler High School, was charged by city police with defiant trespass and disorderly conduct for his role in a disturbance that occurred Saturday night during a St. Patrick's Day celebration outside Margarita Mama's.

The 6-foot-2, 237-pound Sales, who is going to be a fifth-year senior this fall, was initially charged for his role in an April 1 fight last year, but the charges later were dropped.

He was Penn State's sixth-leading tackler last season with 50 stops. He also had three sacks for the Nittany Lions, who open spring drills Monday.

Six Penn State players are currently suspended from the team pending the outcome of various off-the-field incidents.
