The Downtown education group A+ Schools yesterday debuted upgrades to its online guide to Pittsburgh schools.

Billed as "A Closer Look," the retooled guide at www.aplusschools.org offers more detailed test results and other information that the organization traditionally has not included in its online or printed guides.

The annual guide covers the Pittsburgh Public Schools and city charter schools. While the printed guide gives overall test scores for each school, the upgraded online version provides results by race and other student subgroups.

In addition, the online guide now provides data on principal turnover, teacher education levels and student disciplinary incidents.
