Diddy denies link to Tupac's death; Heather Mills spills; Oprah blesses Leona Lewis
Wednesday, March 19, 2008
Heather Mills.
Sean "Diddy" Combs is denying an L.A. Times story that he and his buddy, the late rapper Christopher Wallace (aka The Notorious B.I.G. and aka Biggie Smalls), were involved in the death of rapper Tupac Shakur.

The newspaper's Web site ran a story on Monday that stated two associates of Diddy were behind the 1994 New York attack on Tupac, who survived that shooting. Some believe that started the East Coast/West Coast rap feud, which eventually led to the deaths of two of rap's biggest stars. The story also said that Biggie supplied the gun in the shooting that killed Tupac in Las Vegas in 1996.

"This story is beyond ridiculous and is completely false," Combs said. "Neither Biggie nor I had any knowledge of any attack before, during, or after it happened. It is a complete lie to suggest that there was any involvement by Biggie or myself. I am shocked that the Los Angeles Times would be so irresponsible as to publish such a baseless and completely untrue story."

One of the associates, Jimmy "Henchman" Rosemond, now CEO of Czar Entertainment, also issued a statement denying any involvement.

The Notorious B.I.G. was murdered in Los Angeles six months after Tupac was killed. Neither murder has been solved.

Madonna is also dialing "D" for denial.

The recently inducted Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is poo-pooing reports in Britain's The Sun that her marriage to director Guy Ritchie "is hanging by a thread."

Guy was a no-show at his wife's Rock Hall induction and her star-studded U.N. fund-raiser, so, naturally, folks started talking like it was the beginning of the end for Madge and her mate.

Popycock, says Lady M.

Well, she actually let her rep Liz Rosenberg do the talking.

"I am delighted to confirm that Mr. and Mrs. Guy Ritchie remain happily married," Liz said in a statement Monday.

We're very glad because, with the economy doing so well, we had nothing else to worry about.

Apparently, Heather Mills did more than verbally rip Paul McCartney's divorce attorney Fiona Shackleton outside a British courthouse Monday.

Inside the courtroom, Heather reportedly poured a glass of water over Fiona's head.

That's extremely poor form, especially when you end up with $48 million.

But, you know, none of Heather's bad press is her fault.

If British singer Leona Lewis wasn't on her way to stardom, she is now!

Ms. Lewis, winner of "X Factor," the United Kingdom's version of "American Idol," performed her big hit "Bleeding Love" on "Oprah" Monday afternoon, so you know what that means.

Oprah said "wow" about 15 million times and then went on to exclaim, "A star is born."

You've got to give little Leona some credit. She's got an incredible voice, a Mariah-type range and she's gorgeous.

Plus, Simon Cowell, who introduced her on "Oprah," said she's one of the nicest people he's ever met and you know it usually takes a crowbar to pull anything positive out of him.

Hopefully, Leona won't take on that Mariah trait of wearing clothes two sizes too small.

While, we know Miss Mimi is set to break the Beatles' record for most No. 1 singles, we really wish a woman who's pushing 40 would have something more substantive to sing about than "Touch My Body."

We're just sayin'.

We still don't know the name of Halle Berry's bambina, but the New York Daily News' Rush & Molloy report that she weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and that her momma and daddy spent close to $60,000 on the nurseries in their three homes.

Of course, Halle went to Petit Tresor. Is that the only baby store in Los Angeles?

Anyway, R&M say Miss Halle wanted everything to be organic, sheets, stuffed animals, etc. Oh, yeah, and she has a Mia Bossi diaper bag that costs $1,200.

When a diaper bag costs that much, it ought to give birth for you!

Is anybody feelin' the new Jordin Sparks/Chris Brown single, "No Air." We have to admit we can't get it out of our heads.

Let us know if you've heard it. Jordin will be here next month opening for Miss Alicia Keys.

We know Chris is romancing Rihanna right now, but he and Jordin do make a cute couple in the video.
