The Harry Potter film franchise will go out with a double whammy.
The Hollywood Reporter said today that the final J.K. Rowling book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," will be turned into two films. Part 1 will be released in November 2010 and Part 2 in May 2011.
David Yates will direct the adaptation of the sixth book, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" due in November, and both halves of the seventh, the trade publication reported on its Web site. The cast is due back, and Steve Kloves will write the double-header based on the 784-page book that sold more than 8 million copies in the first 24 hours alone.
