Opera-box tickets to Anthony Bourdain's sold-out lecture at Carnegie Music Hall on March 31 sold on eBay Sunday night for $2,247.89.

After a flurry of bids in the auction's last minutes, Scott Kerr of Butler came away the winner of the "Anthony Bourdain Experience Package" -- a private reception, a meeting with Bourdain, personally signed books and seating for six in the opera box.

"We never expected this great a response," said Jayne Adair, director of the Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures series.
