Penguins center Evgeni Malkin was named the NHL's No. 1 star for February, when he put up a league-high 26 points (nine goals, 17 assists) in 14 games.

Dallas goalie Marty Turco was selected the No. 2 star, while Buffalo left winger Thomas Vanek was chosen No. 3.

Malkin recorded points in 10 consecutive games between Feb. 2-21, and has a league-high 88 points going into tonight's games.
