District Roundup: RMU women win again

The Robert Morris University women's team extended its program-record winning streak to 11 consecutive games yesterday, beating Wagner, 75-38, in a Northeast Conference game at the Sewall Center.

The Colonials (17-9, 13-2) moved into second place in the NEC behind Quinnipiac.

Robert Morris raised its home record the past four years to 47-7. Sade Logan paced the Colonials with 27 points.

Women's highlights

• Jade Singleton scored 16 points in leading Duquesne (13-14, 4-8 Atlantic 10) to a 76-67 win at Richmond. ... Shaquetta Mance had 33 points and made two free throws with 4.3 seconds left as California (20-5, 7-3 PSAC) edged IUP (23-3, 8-2), 71-69. Kylie Miller had 19 for IUP. ... Kelsey Conklin scored 22 points as Edinboro (16-9, 5-5 PSAC) recorded a 75-65 victory against visiting Lock Haven (7-18, 2-9). ... Chatham (10-15, 5-9 PAC) made 11 of 29 3-point attempts in beating visiting Waynesburg (1-24, 0-14), 67-55. ... Christine Slater scored 18 points as Grove City (10-15, 5-9 PAC) topped Thiel (7-17, 4-10), 90-48. ... Emilee Ackerman had 37 points, 12 rebounds in leading Westminster (15-10) to the win at Geneva (20-5). ... Emily Hays had 16 points in leading Washington & Jefferson (19-6, 11-3 PAC) to a 66-50 win at Bethany (15-10, 10-4).

Men's highlights

Penn State New Kensington (19-3, 17-0 PSUAC) won at PS Fayette, 76-62. R.J. Hurt had 20 points for New Kensington. ... Ryan McLemore had 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 blocks as Edinboro (20-5, 9-1 PSAC) beat visiting Lock Haven (2-23, 2-9), 101-75. ... Chivas Whipple had 23 points, 11 rebounds as Point Park (16-11, 6-4 AMC) beat Roberts Wesleyan (9-18, 4-6), 89-74. ... La Roche rallied for a 79-64 win against Pitt Greensburg. Dylan Grazier had 17 points for La Roche.
