Friday, February 22, 2008

The Steelers today released three veteran players: tight end Jerame Tuman, linebacker Clint Kriewaldt and cornerback and kick returner Allen Rossum.

Tuman, a fifth-round draft pick in 1999, played in 121 games in his career with the Steelers, catching 43 passes for 500 yards and seven touchdowns. He started in 56 games.

Kriewaldt signed with the Steelers as an unrestricted free agent in 2003. Rossum was acquired from the Falcons in September 2007 in return for a conditional 2008 draft pick.
