The address capped a weekend in which 300 former Michigan football players returned to campus for a reunion and an opportunity to meet the new Michigan coaching staff.
Rodriguez also thanked Michigan fans for their support and introduced his wife, Rita, son, Rhett, daughter, Raquel, and all of his assistant coaches.
"I've been called a lot things in the last month but the best thing somebody called me, one of the former lettermen last night said 'Coach Rod, you're a Michigan man,' " Rodriguez said.
