Don and Virginia Ruck exchanged a kiss after renewing their vows as one of the 750 couples taking part in "Re-Union: The World's Largest Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony" at the Carnegie Music Hall auditorium in Oakland.

The previous Guinness world record for a similar ceremony was 272 couples, set in September in Sydney, Australia.

The Rucks, of Avalon, have been married for 53 years. At 61 years, Edward and Helen Downing, also of Avalon, were the participating couple married the longest.
