A Blair County judge has rejected a proposed plea deal for an 80-year-old man accused of fondling a girl four years ago.
President Judge Jolene Kopriva turned down the proposal to place Thomas Johnson on probation, saying he committed a similar crime when he was 78.
Mr. Johnson is charged with indecent assault for allegedly fondling a girl under the age of 13 while she was visiting her grandmother in 2004. He is being held at the Blair County Prison.
The judge delayed the hearing but said she could agree to a plea bargain that calls for the state minimum sentence of three months.
