In the end it was a former Steeler, Plaxico Burress of the New York Giants, that made Super Bowl XLII one unbelievable game to some and a dream come true to others.

After a record season, the expected winner New England Patriots, lost their history-making perfect season to the Giants in the final minutes of the game. Giants' quarterback Eli Manning completed a 13-yard touchdown pass to Burress for the game-winning touchdown making the final score, 17-14, Giants.
