Colombia's minister of social protection, Diego Palacio Betancourt, presented Dr. Ricardo A. Muñoz, chief of the division of cardiac intensive care, Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC's Heart Center, with the Jorge Bejarano Civic Cross Medal. Dr. Muñoz was honored for outstanding achievements in pediatric cardiac intensive care and promoting health care in Colombia.
