Education

David Dombrosky was hired as executive director of the Center for Arts Management and Technology, an applied research center in Carnegie Mellon's Institute for the Management of Creative Enterprises. It is a joint program between the H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management and the College of Fine Arts.

Dane S. Claussen, professor and director of graduate programs, department of journalism & mass communication, Point Park University, was appointed to the editorial board of Communication Education, the quarterly scholarly journal published by the National Communication Association.

Richard H. Roberts was named assistant director of work force development/continuing education at Penn State University, Greater Allegheny.

David K. Roger was appointed president of the Hillman Foundation.

Dr. William Pendergast was elected president of The Washington Hospital medical staff.

Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis hired Jay L. Panzarella as a partner and member of the corporate services practice group. Mr. Panzarella focuses on corporate and securities law.

Tube City IMS hired Jacki Savage as director of treasury, finance department, in its Glassport office.

Alyssa Cholodofsky joined Family Services of Western Pennsylvania as director of development and communications.

Radio Information Service said John Guehl and Janet Simon were elected to its board. Dr. Guehl is chief of the division of ophthalmology at West Pennsylvania Hospital. Ms. Simon retired in 2007 from the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children.

Homeless Children's Education Fund named Jennifer Banks Vickers managing director.

Real Estate

Pennsylvania Commercial Real Estate Inc. hired J. Mark Frankovitch in its industrial division.

Technology

Landslide Technologies Inc. hired Chris A. Kiminas as vice president of sales process consulting services.

Elsewhere

Pittsburgh native Michael Costabile was named chief financial officer at Amerinet Central's headquarters in St. Louis. He was previously president at its Warrendale location.
