Three Penn State football players have temporarily been "excused from the team" until their respective legal issues are resolved.
Spokesman Jeff Nelson confirmed the news tonight, but he declined to name the players involved.
However, a source told The Post-Gazette the players in question are starting defensive tackle Chris Baker, backup linebacker Navorro Bowman and backup cornerback/special teams player Knowledge Timmons.
The trio is facing charges in connection with their alleged roles in an Oct. 7 fight at the student union building on campus.
More details in tomorrow's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
