A local sports announcer was sentenced to 51 months in prison yesterday for possessing child pornography.

John P. Duffy, 47, of Carnegie, pleaded guilty to one count before Senior U.S. District Judge Alan N. Bloch in October.

The former weekend news anchor for ESPN Radio 1250 was charged after a search of his home revealed he had more than 40 video files on his computer of children engaged in sexually explicit behavior.
