Former Pitt forward John DeGroat, guard Shaun Fountain and center John Strickland of the Pittsburgh Xplosion were named to the American Conference team for the CBA All-Star Classic Monday in Yakima, Wash.

The Meadows and Pocono Downs announced that the 2008 Delvin Miller Adios, the track's signature race and one of the sport's premier events for 3-year-old pacing colts, will be conducted at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. Eliminations are Aug. 1, and the final is Aug. 9.

USA Amateur Boxing will have a fight card tomorrow at Baldwin High School. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the fight card begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 (ringside), $15 (general admission) and $5 (students).
