Kenny Chesney finished 2007 with the second biggest tour, behind the reunited Police.
Now, the world's biggest country star of the moment is already thinking about this summer, and his forthcoming Poets & Pirates 2008 Tour. One of the 13 stadium gigs will stop not at the Pirates' house, but the Steelers', as Chesney hits the turf at Heinz Field again on June 14.
"It's amazing to me how much intimacy you can have in a place that big," Chesney said in a statement. "But there's something in those big shows you can't get anywhere else: a whole other kind of energy. You feel those fans all the way to the top, and there's nothing like it."
There's no word yet on tickets sales or opening acts, but among those sharing the bills with him this summer will be Keith Urban, Brooks & Dunn, Sammy Hagar, Big & Rich, LeAnn Rimes, Gary Allan and Luke Bryan.
