Dr. Anant Gandhi of Upper St. Clair was chosen to receive the Nathaniel Bedford Primary Care Physician Award by the Allegheny County Medical Society.

He has been on the medical staff at Monongahela Valley Hospital for 24 years and joined the staff at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in 2002. He is with the Southwestern Medical Centers in Charleroi, Bentleyville and California.

Dr. Gandhi graduated from Kasturba Medical College, Mysore University, Karnataka, India.

Columbia Gas of Pennsylvania recently presented Washington City Mission with a matching grant for $600.

The company matched the amount raised by employees at its Southpointe office through a raffle and a bake sale.

At Canonsburg General Hospital, Kim Malinky, president and chief executive officer, was appointed to a 3-year term on the Washington County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Eric Zaney of Weirton was appointed a member of the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council and will represent Washington County Emergency Medical Services Council.
