Gerry Dulac's NFL Forecast: NFL Playoffs, Round 2
Thursday, January 10, 2008

DULAC'S MARK

Last week: 4-0 (1.000)
Season record: 159-101 (.611)

GAME: Seattle Seahawks (11-6) at Green Bay Packers (13-3), 4:30 p.m.

THE SKINNY: Not surprisingly, the Seahawks do not always fare well on the road, not after traveling from the Great Northwest. And the Packers love to play at home (7-1). Better yet, they have a running game to complement Brett Favre.

PREDICTION: Packers, 27-20

GAME: Jacksonville Jaguars (12-5) at New England Patriots (16-0), 8 p.m.

THE SKINNY: The Jaguars better hope New England has some sort of emotional letdown after accomplishing its 16-0 feat. Either that, or hope the Steelers special teams have mysteriously hopped into Patriots uniforms.

PREDICTION: Patriots, 34-20

GAME: San Diego Chargers (12-5) at Indianapolis Colts (13-3), 1 p.m., Sunday

THE SKINNY: The Chargers have won seven games in a row, counting last week's playoff victory, a streak only the Patriots can eclipse. But, as long as rust hasn't set in, Peyton Manning and the Colts are well-rested. Plus, Marvin Harrison is back.

PREDICTION: Colts, 31-23

GAME: New York Giants (11-6) at Dallas Cowboys (13-3), 4:30 p.m., Sunday

THE SKINNY: Somewhere in the annals of Coaching 101 is an adage about beating a team three times in one season. That's what the Cowboys will try to do against their division-rival Giants, who are 8-1 on the road and looking like a team that can sneak its way to the Super Bowl.

PREDICTION: Giants, 30-28
