Q: At the end of the Jacksonville playoff game, with only 40 seconds left, down by 2 points and no timeouts, we needed a field goal to win or go home. It seems logical that we need a good kick-off return. After all, a good return is what propelled Jacksonville into the lead 2 minutes earlier. Why would we have Najeh Davenport receiving rather than Santonio Holmes, Cedrick Wilson, Nate Washington, or ANYONE who is fast and has some moves?

Bill Dunning, McCormick, S.C.

BOUCHETTTE: After watching the special teams play all season -- returns and coverage -- if they put Gale Sayers in his prime back there I don't think he would have gotten past the 25. For all the attention paid to special teams in training camp, with two coaches assigned to those units and using three draft choices for a punter and return man, they could not have performed worse. Their best special teams plays all season were the pooch kickoffs by Jeff Reed. It's too bad they did not use that on their first kickoff Saturday night.
