Carnegie Mellon (7-2) defeated host La Roche (5-6), 76-63, in a non-conference men's basketball game behind Ryan Einwag's 16 points and a double-double from Greg Gonzalez.

Sophomore guard Jack Anderson from Beaver Falls led the Tartans with 10 points in the first half. Einwag from Baldwin led all scorers, and Gonzalez had 14 points and 12 rebounds.

• George Cox scored 26 points, leading visiting Mercy-hurst-Northeast (11-4) to a 114-35 win against Butler Community College (1-11).

• Senior forward Allyson Clarke scored 16 points and grabbed a career-high 21 rebounds, but Geneva (9-1) lost to host Pitt-Greensburg (9-2), 68-58. ... Kim Vargas scored 23 points as host Gannon (7-4) beat Slippery Rock (4-7), 83-81.
