Community Empowerment Association, Inc.'s 13th Kwanzaa celebration brought together families and friends at the Kingsley Association in East Liberty on Saturday night. The festivities included local artist groups, vendors, and food.

The fourth of seven principles of Kwanzaa was celebrated. Ujamma, cooperative economics, emphasizes African-American's collective economic strength and ability to meet common needs through mutual support.
