Representatives of the Pittsburgh Public Schools and the Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers met at the state mediator's office for about 2¹/₂ hours yesterday and scheduled three additional bargaining sessions.

Union President John Tarka and school district Chief of Staff Lisa Fischetti said the parties will meet again on Friday, on Jan. 9 and on Jan. 11.
