Video: Wounded Iraq vet from West Mifflin gets free home
Wednesday, December 19, 2007

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Disabled Iraq vet Corporal Carl Duda and his family, wife Darla and children Carleigh, 7; Reginald Harburger, 18; and Maria Harburger, 19; received a free home remodeled house, complete with furnishings for the holiday.

The Hope Lives Foundation chose Cpl. Duda, in part, because his severe back injury limits his chances to find a job. The home is free, but the family will still have to pay the usual expenses, including property taxes.
