Duquesne athletic director Greg Amodio has had conversations with the Pitt administration the past several weeks about a new two-year contract for a home-and-home basketball series between Pitt and Duquesne.
"We're both on the same page," he said. "I'm expecting the contracts to be drawn up with signatures on it in due time."
The City Game tomorrow night at Palumbo Center is the conclusion of a two-year deal between the schools.
"I'm happy to keep it on the homecourts," he said. "So is Pitt."
Amodio said when the new arena is built there could be some discussion about moving the game there.
Dukes on the air
Duquesne men's basketball will have a seven-game television package this season, starting with the City Game on ESPNU. In addition to the Pitt game, Duquesne will appear on FSN Pittsburgh six times as part of the Atlantic 10 Conference package -- Dec. 8 at West Virginia, Jan. 19 at Fordham, Jan. 23 at Saint Bonaventure, Feb. 21 at Xavier (airing the next day on tape delay), March 5 at Temple, March 8 at Saint Louis.
Not quite ready
Coach Ron Everhart said he still is waiting to receive the proper paperwork on national letters of intent for four recruits.
Get there early
Gates to Palumbo will open at 5:30 tomorrow night for the Pitt game, 30 minutes earlier than usual to accommodate the sellout crowd.
