Sheryl St. Germain is both a poet and director of the graduate writing program at Chatham University and she's having a banner year in both roles.

First, the Chatham program was recognized by the Atlantic Monthly and Poets & Writers magazines recently for its distinctive and unique program. Second St. Germain published a new book of poetry, "Let It Be A Dark Roux," with Pittsburgh's Autumn House Press this year.

On Dec. 5, she joins fellow poet Andrea Budy at the International Poetry Forum reading at 8 p.m. at Carnegie Library Lecture Hall.

St. Germain discusses these events with Post-Gazette Book Editor Bob Hoover and reads from her poetry collection.
