Did you know: Rodriguez, Barry Bonds, Jimmie Foxx, Mickey Cochrane, Frank Robinson and Rogers Hornsby are the only players to win the MVP with more than one team.

Tuesday
Duquesne: Ron Everhart's Dukes take their carpet-bombing approach to basketball on the road for a game against Oakland of the Summit League (formerly the Horizon). Oakland was 1-1 going into its game with Eastern Michigan Nov. 17.
Did you know: Duquesne has never had a player record a triple-double (double figures in three statistical categories). However, transfer Shawn James has had four in his career -- all at Northeastern -- which ties him for fifth in NCAA Division I history since the governing body began tracking the stat.

Wednesday
Penguins: If you think you've read this before, you have. Martin Brodeur and his quest for 500 wins visits Mellon Arena for the second time in 10 days when the New Jersey Devils visit Mellon Arena for the Penguins' traditional Thanksgiving Eve game.
Did you know: Brodeur is 0-2 while allowing six goals in his first two tries at winning No. 500.

Thursday
Back for more: Yes, it's Thanksgiving; a day for football (i.e. Packers-Lions, 12:30 p.m., WPGH; USC-Arizona State, X p.m., ESPN). But this year, it also means hockey. The Penguins face the Ottawa Senators for the first time since the Senators eliminated them from the playoffs last spring.
Did you know: The Senators, off to a 14-2 start, have a league-high six players on the All-Star Game ballot: Dany Heatley, Jason Spezza, Daniel Alfredsson, Ray Emery, Chris Phillips and Wade Redden.

Friday
WPIAL championships: The turkey and mashed potatoes have been eaten. Now it's time for the traditional dessert -- the day-long quadheader that is the WPIAL football championships.
Did you know: We could be looking at a matchup in the Class AAAA final between Art Walker's North Allegheny Tigers and Central Catholic -- the team he coached to AAAA titles in 2003 and '04.
To watch: Games at 10:30 a.m. (Class A), 1:30 p.m. (AA), 4:30 p.m. (AAA) and AAAA (7:30 p.m.).
Saturday
The Big (East) game: Of all the Big East preseason scenarios, this one wasn't mentioned. No. 5 West Virginia (8-1, 3-1 before its game with Cincinnati Nov. 17) and No. 25 Connecticut (8-2, 4-1) meet in a game that figures to decide the league champion and BCS bowl representative.
Did you know: Connecticut was picked to finish seventh in the eight-team Big East.
To watch: TBA.
Sunday
Football Night in America: The Steelers don't play today, so check out the team they're chasing in the AFC -- NFL MVP candidate Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. They continue their quest for perfection with a prime-time matchup vs. the Philadelphia Eagles.
Did you know: In winning their first nine games, the Patriots outscored opponents 355-147 for a plus-208 scoring differential. That is the highest for any team through nine games since the 1962 Green Bay Packers (plus-231).
