Question: With Ryan Clark gone for the season it appears as though the Steelers are a little thin at the safety position. Aside from the move of bringing Grant Mason up from the practice squad do you see the Steelers making any other moves to add some depth and experience, and even if they wanted to who might still be available?

Robert Smith, Houston, TX

BOUCHETTE: Finding a good safety in the middle of the season is difficult because if he really were that good, you'd presume one of the 32 teams would employ him. Veteran Tyrone Carter moves up and will back up Troy Polamalu at strong safety and Anthony Carter at free safety. Mason gives them depth. They also signed WVU's Mike Lorello, who spent training camp with them, as a safety on their practice squad.
