PG North: Six from area on PAC soccer all-stars

The Presidents' Athletic Conference announced its men's and women's soccer all-star teams last week and six players who are graduates of PG North area high schools were among the honorees.

Fox Chapel Area graduate Ryan McDonald was voted to the men's first team. McDonald is a sophomore defender at Washington & Jefferson College.

Quaker Valley graduate Mike Codita, a freshman goalkeeper at Westminster College, and Pine-Richland graduate Jack Adams, a junior defender at Grove City College, were voted to the second team.

ShalerArea graduate Jason Zielinski, a senior midfielder at Saint Vincent College, also received PAC honors.

St. Vincent is currently listed as a provisional member of the conference.

PAC sounds Bugel call



Mars Area graduate Mallory Bugel, a senior forward at Westminster College, was recognized on the PAC women's first team for the third consecutive year.

North Allegheny graduate Kristen Martin, a senior defender at Westminster, was an honorable mention selection.

PSAC soccer all-stars



Shaler graduate Nick Christy and Mars graduate Steve Perri were voted to the second team of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference men's soccer all-stars.

Both athetes are members of the Slippery Rock University team.

Christy is a senior forward who is making his third appearance on the PSAC second team.

Mars' Perri is a senior midfielder.
