There will be no state title for the WPIAL Class AAA boys' soccer champions.
Pine-Richland (15-4-2) got a goal from Mike Keuch with four minutes remaining to earn a 2-1 win against WPIAL champion Bethel Park (24-2) in a PIAA quarterfinal yesterday at Chartiers Valley.
Joe DeMarco scored early in the second half to give Bethel Park a 1-0 lead, but Tyler Irwin scored the equalizer for the Rams before Keuch's late-game heroics.
"We were on our heels for about 25 minutes of the second half," Rams coach Dan Brower said. "But they could not get that second goal and, finally, we got something going."
