State senator's son found delinquent
Thursday, November 01, 2007

The son of state Sen. Bob Regola has been found delinquent by a judge in Westmoreland County, KDKA-TV reported.

Citing anonymous sources, the station reported yesterday that Bobby Regola IV was found delinquent in juvenile court. State police charged the youth with illegal possession of a firearm following a coroner's inquest into the death of a 14-year-old neighbor, Louis Farrell.

Louis Farrell was found dead with a gun that belonged to the senator near his body. His death was ruled a suicide. He lived next door to the Regolas.

Mr. Regola, R-Hempfield, is awaiting trial on charges that he lied under oath at a coroner's inquest into the death of Louis Farrell.

Louis had a key to the Regola home so he could tend to the lawmaker's pets the day before he was found dead in the woods behind their neighboring homes in July.
