'Dancing' gets dirty, Heidi hosts fashion show, Catholic League scolds Britney
Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Oooo! It's getting nasty on "Dancing With the Stars," so you know we've got to start watching it again.

Seems Tony Dovolani, Jane Seymour's partner, has not taken too kindly to judge Carrie Ann Inaba's chastisement about a possible illegal lift during a waltz.

People magazine reports that the next day, Tony gave the former "Fly Girl" a ballroom-dancing rule book. "She does not understand what ballroom dancing is," he said. "She's never done it herself."

In return, Carrie Ann reportedly gave Tony the finger, although a source close to her said the whole thing never happened.

But she has been giving them low scores.

Tony said judges should remember that 56-year-old Jane is going up against women young enough to be her daughter.

Don't worry, Jane, us well-seasoned sisters got your back.

Did presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama turn down a campaign assist from Brad Pitt?

You know, we don't know, but New York Daily News' Rush & Molloy are reporting that's what happened, according to their source.

Now is that any way to treat family? Apparently, Brad and Obama are ninth cousins, according to our girl Megan Smolenyak, Ancestry.com historian.

Anyway, the rock star candidate, who already has the backing of folks like George Clooney and Matt Damon, didn't want to seem like he'd gone too Hollywood.

Also, not everybody's forgotten about Angelina's limo-loving, blood-vial-wearing, brother-kissing past, even though with all her charity work and orphan adoption she's darn near a saint now.

But the senator's deputy press secretary Jen Psaki told R&M, "If Brad Pitt wants to campaign for Obama, the only challenge will be deciding who staffs him."

And our only challenge is trying not to drool on either one of them!

Speaking of folks who bring the hotness, Heidi Klum will host a sneak peek fashion show Tuesday featuring designs from each of the 15 contestants on the new "Project Runway."

It's going to be at Lincoln Center, and tickets are first-come first-serve. But even if you don't make it inside, those on the scene can watch everything through a transparent fashion pavilion set-up, plus the show will be broadcast live on a screen at Lincoln Center. And if that's not enough for you, there will be a Webcast later that day.

Of course, "Project Runway" mentor and bon vivant Tim Gunn will be in the house, as will judge Nina Garcia.

No word yet on whether Heidi's man Seal will show up in his biker shorts, but just in case we might have to get a ticket.

Boy, they sure kept this quiet.

According to a new book called "Madonna: Like an Icon" by Lucy O'Brien, the Material Girl wasn't above a little thug lovin'.

The book reveals that Miss M briefly dated the late Tupac Shakur, the year before his death, reports NY Daily News' Ben Widdicombe.

Maddona was in her mid-30s at the time and desperately wanted children, according to O'Brien. According to Madonna's friend Alison Clarkson, Tupac dumped Madonna because homegirls didn't like his choice of dates.

Madonna and Tupac parenting together? Now that sounds like it would have been a mess and a half.

Guess we'll have to add the Catholic League to the growing list of folks who wish Britney Spears would go somewhere and sit down.

Seems there are some racy promotional photos of Brit Brit on the lap of a handsome dark-haired gentleman dressed as a priest as he's sitting in a confessional.

"This girl is crashing," said Catholic League president Bill Donohue. "She's not even allowed to bring up her own kids because she's not responsible enough. Now we see she can't even entertain."

Guess we'll see about that. Her new album, "Blackout," dropped yesterday.

More women are starting to come forward with allegations that magician David Copperfield singled them out during his Las Vegas shows and later invited them to the Bahamas.

The magic man is accused of raping a Seattle woman he invited to the Bahamas.

His lawyer denies the allegation. TMZ has videotaped an interview with a woman who talked about her encounter with Mr. Copperfield, and the celebrity news outlet also got its hands on a voice-mail message the magician allegedly left for another woman inviting her on a trip.
