Gerry Dulac's NFL Forecast: Week 4
Friday, September 28, 2007

Pittsburgh Steelers (3-0) at Arizona Cardinals (1-2)

Time: 4:15 p.m., University of Phoenix Stadium

The skinny: Pittsburgh West is improved and just a cactus needle from 3-0. There is nothing close about the way the Steelers have dominated three games, 97-26.

Prediction: Steelers, 23-13

Baltimore Ravens (2-1) at Cleveland Browns (1-2)

Time: 1 p.m., Cleveland Browns Stadium

The skinny: This is the Browns' third division game at home in four weeks. Jamal Lewis gets to see how tough his former mates can really be.

Prediction: Ravens, 23-10

Houston Texans (2-1) at Atlanta Falcons (0-3)

Time: 1 p.m., Georgia Dome

The skinny: Think the Falcons regret sending Matt Schaub to the Texans? Think the Falcons will ever win a game?

Prediction: Falcons, 23-20

New York Jets (1-2) at Buffalo Bills (0-3)

Time: 1 p.m., Ralph Wilson Stadium

The skinny: Counting free-agency defections, the Bills have lost eight starters on defense since '06. Now add QB J.P. Losman to the list.

Prediction: Jets, 20-16

St. Louis Rams (0-3) at Dallas Cowboys (3-0)

Time: 1 p.m., Texas Stadium

The skinny: The Cowboys are averaging nearly 37 points a game. Hey, that's the way the Rams used to play on offense.

Prediction: Cowboys, 34-14

Chicago Bears (1-2) at Detroit Lions (2-1)

Time: 1 p.m., Ford Field

The skinny: The Cowboys put up 34 on the Bears' defense last week. Chicago didn't allow that many till the fifth game last season.

Prediction: Bears, 24-17

Oakland Raiders (1-2) at Miami Dolphins (0-3)

Time: 1 p.m., Dolphins Stadium

The skinny: Finally, the Raiders found someone to beat since the Steelers. But they've lost 12 in a row on the road.

Prediction: Dolphins, 24-14

Green Bay Packers (3-0) at Minnesota Vikings (1-2)

Time: 1 p.m., Metrodome

The skinny: The Packers have won seven in a row, dating to last season. One of those was already against the Vikings.

Prediction: Packers, 31-24

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1) at Carolina Panthers (2-1)

Time: 4:05 p.m., Bank of America Stadium

The skinny: The Buccaneers are starting to play defense again. That could be a problem with Jake Delhomme's elbow ailing.

Prediction: Panthers, 17-16

Seattle Seahawks (2-1) at San Francisco 49ers (2-1)

Time: 4:05 p.m., Monster Park The skinny: The Steelers found some cracks in the 49ers run defense. But Shawn Alexander has a crack in his wrist.

Prediction: 49ers, 27-23

Denver Broncos (2-1) at Indianapolis Colts (3-0)

Time: 4:15 p.m.. RCA Dome

The skinny: The Broncos couldn't beat the Jaguars in rarified air. How are they going to beat the Colts in climate-controlled air?

Prediction: Colts, 34-24

Kansas City Chiefs (1-2) at San Diego Chargers (1-2)

Time: 4:15 p.m., Qualcomm Stadium

The skinny: The Chargers have already lost as many games as last season with the same personnel. 'Cept for the head coach.

Prediction: Chargers, 27-10

Philadelphia Eagles (1-2) at New York Giants (1-2)

Time: 8:15 p.m., Giants Stadium

The skinny: Is Donovan McNabb that good or the Lions defense that bad? The Giants aren't exactly an immovable object.

Prediction: Giants, 34-30

New England Patriots (3-0) at Cincinnati Bengals (1-2)

Time: 8:30 p.m. tomorrow, Paul Brown Stadium

The skinny: If Tom Brady were any more accurate he'd be a GPS system. The Bengals need one to locate a defense.

Prediction: Patriots, 34-24

Dulac's mark Last week: 8-8 (.500) Season: 28-20 (.583)
