Crafton -- A community blood drive will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at Crafton United Presbyterian Church, 80 Bradford Ave.
Findlay -- A replenishment blood drive on behalf of Noah Rheinlander, a 3-year-old leukemia patient who received a bone marrow transplant, will be from noon to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Clinton United Presbyterian Church, 25 Wilson Road. Call 724-695-7993.
FESTIVALS
Carnegie -- An Apple Festival will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Carnegie Presbyterian Church, 219 Ewing Road. Free entertainment includes roving musicians, a balloon sculptor, a petting zoo, pony rides and door prizes. Pancake breakfasts will be available. There will be a bake sale.
RELIGION
Crafton -- An open house will follow the 11 a.m. Sunday service at Crafton United Methodist Church, 43 Belvedere St. It includes a free brunch. Call 412-921-3381.
Kennedy -- Jeff Kipp, of Chosen People Ministries, will be the speaker at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ken Mawr United Presbyterian Church, 1670 Pine Hollow Road. He will present a program on the Fall Festivals of Israel. Call 412-331-2863.
Moon -- Make a World of Difference, a praise and worship night, will be at 6 p.m. Sunday at West Hills Christian Church, 965 Thorn Run Road. Admission is free. Donations of canned goods will be accepted for the Mile of Cans that benefits the West Hills Food Pantry.

Around the area -- Six non-profit organizations are planning sales or craft shows. They are:
A used book sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., tomorrow and Saturday in the rear parking lot at 523 Washington Ave., Bridgeville, held by Bridgeville Public Library. A bag of books will be $3.
Annual Craft & Vendor Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Holy Child School gym, 213 Station St., Bridgeville. It includes a ticket auction. Food will be sold.
Indoor flea market and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Noblestown United Methodist Church, 7313 Noblestown Road, Oakdale.
Fall Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity School gym and cafeteria, 5718 Steubenville Pike, Robinson. There will be a ticket auction and bake sale. Lunch will be sold.
A rummage sale from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to noon next Thursday at First United Methodist Church, Vermont and Jefferson streets, Rochester. Bag day will be next Thursday.
A Trash & Treasure Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3102 Sherwood Ave., Sheraden.

Upper St. Clair -- South West Communities Chamber of Commerce will hold its Regional Alliance of Chambers fall networking after-hours mixer from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. next Thursday at A Basket of Pittsburgh, 1401 McLaughlin Run Road. Chippewa -- A free autism symposium will begin at 6:30 tonight at Blackhawk High School, 500 Blackhawk Road. Speakers include those in government and education. There will be displays about related community resources. The event is sponsored by state Rep. Jim Marshal (R-Big Beaver).
Collier -- A community clean-up is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Those who wish to participate should meet at 9 a.m. in the lower level of the municipal building, 2418 Hilltop Road. Volunteers will get a free t-shirt. Safety vests, gloves, bags and needed equipment will be supplied. To join in, call 412-249-8190.
Carnegie -- Women's Business Network Pittsburgh West Chapter will hold its Fall Networking Event at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 16 at Cefalo's restaurant and Nightclub, 430 Washington Ave. Costs are $25 for members and $30 for others. Moon -- Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce will hold the Women's Interest Network Fall Conference from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 5 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, 1160 Thorn Run Road. Keynote speaker will be Beth Caldwell of Pennsylvania Family Publishing. Tickets for the entire event are $50 for members and $95 for others. Beaver & Brighton -- The Beaver Valley Branch of American Association of University Women will hold its Annual Kitchen Tour from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Six kitchens can be visited.
