Presidential hopeful Richardson in town today
Thursday, September 27, 2007

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson is scheduled to make a brief campaign stop in Pittsburgh today.

The Democratic presidential candidate will make an afternoon appearance at Wholey's in the Strip District before attending a fund-raising reception Downtown. He will be accompanied by U.S. Rep. Mike Doyle, D-Forest Hills, who has endorsed him for the Democratic nomination.

Mr. Richardson, like all of the presidential hopefuls, is concentrating on fund raising this week in the closing days of the Federal Election Commission's third-quarter reporting period. He was to travel to Pittsburgh from New Hampshire, where he joined the other Democratic candidates at a debate last night at Dartmouth College.
