Pittsburgh native Rob Marshall collected two Emmys last night for his work on "Tony Bennett: An American Classic," the winner for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special.
Marshall arrived at the 59th prime-time Emmy Awards already a winner for his choreography on the NBC show, an honor that came last week at the prime-time Creative Arts Emmys.
An hour into last night's ceremony, he was awarded the Emmy for Outstanding Director of a Variety, Music or Comedy Special. He also collected an Emmy as an executive producer.
Bennett and Christina Aguilera performed "Steppin' Out With My Baby" just before Marshall's name was called. Marshall said working with Bennett was "such a labor of love." He then acknowledged his partner, John Deluca, and his sisters and parents in the audience.
