Pittsburgh stations came up short in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmys that were handed out Saturday in Philadelphia. Out of 36 nominations, only six awards went to Pittsburgh outlets, with Philadelphia entities winning most of the Emmys. Last year, Pittsburgh stations won 10 awards.

This year, WQED took home five Emmys (out of 20 nominations), including station excellence for general manager Deborah Acklin, the second year in a row it's won that award.

KDKA received one award (out of 11 nods) for its "Ultimate Steeler Fans" promotional campaign by creative services director Tina Veon.

WPXI and WTAE do not enter the Emmys as stations, although individuals sometimes enter their work.

WQED's additional awards included:

Arts program or special: "Live From Studio A: American Standards"; Jocelyn Hough, executive producer; Scott Anderson, music director

Children/youth/teen program or special: "Teens OnQ: Episode 121"; Karen Farmer White, executive producer; Gina Catanzarite, producer; Laura Seliy, associate producer; Marlene Gary Hogan, supervising producer; Glenn Syska, photographer/editor.

Historic/cultural program or special: "Stone Soldiers: Saving the Gettysburg Monuments"; David Solomon, supervising producer; Paul Ruggieri, photographer/editor; Andy Masich, narrator.

Community service: "On Q: Our Region's Next Renaissance"; Jocelyn Hough, executive producer; David Solomon, supervising producer; Alicia Schisler, producer; Michael Bartley, producer/reporter; Tonia Caruso, producer/reporter.
