City of Asylum/Pittsburgh free Jazz-Poetry Concert Saturday has added David Conrad, Pittsburgher and star of the TV series "Ghost Whisperer," and state Sen. Jim Ferlo to emcee and read poetry at the event that showcases endangered literary voices.

Oliver Lake and the World Saxophone Quartet provide the music at the concert, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., at Sampsonia Way, North Side. For details, check out stories by PG book editor Bob Hoover and jazz critic Nate Guidry that appeared in the Post-Gazette's Wednesday Magazine section.
